![]() If you do so, chances are you’ll go headfirst into enemies armed to the teeth. Simply rushing into places you don’t know is not a good idea. There will be times when you will have to wait for a window to sneak in, but when that moment comes you better be fast. Mark of the Ninja: Remastered values ingenuity over brute force and patience over pure reflexes, but it is not by any means a slow-paced game. ![]() So, yeah, you can have a lot of fun messing with them in this game. A panicked enemy will have more than a trigger-happy temperament and will shoot at the slightest noise, and a fun abnormality is that they may come across and shoot their own allies. One unique feature of this game is the fact you can make all enemies freak out by tossing bodies of their deceased fellow soldiers or hanging them around, with the exception being special or elite enemies. Failing to perform it will either result in a messy, loud killing or even being counterattacked if you fail against the toughest enemies. If you are successful, the Ninja will quickly – and more importantly: silently – dispatch that enemy. Whenever you feel like assassinating an unfortunate soul that gets in your way, you must perform a command. While focus is limitless, keep in mind that a few styles you can unlock may make this feature unavailable. ![]() You also have access to a focus mechanic, which allows you to stop time and throw a few tools with precision in case the situation calls for it. If you make a mistake and get caught by the guards, it’ll be hard to blame the game for it (except in some rare spots). It feels great all thanks to the excellent controls and tight movement which allows you to space and plan your actions accordingly. While there are no real gameplay changes I’ve noticed, the visuals have been upgraded to match the quality of 2018 hard and software. Mark of the Ninja: Remastered is a re-release of the 2012 game. However, the replayability of this game can be fairly high- something which I’ll go into detail about later.Īs it is with all good stealth games, you have the option to deal with your enemies lethally or avoid them completely- whichever you prefer at the moment. The game is fairly long containing a little more than over 10 stages (plus another bonus level that shouldn’t count towards the stages at all) and several secrets and optional objectives. If you ever played games like Thief, Metal Gear Solid, or Splinter Cell, you should already know more or less what you’re in for, but this game is made from a 2D perspective, which makes it one of the very few of its kind.
